Wild!

There is this great place that reminds me of Yellowstone, well kinda, only different.... it's called Olympic game farm. Walt Disney movies were filmed here and some animals that were in movies have been retired to live the rest of their lives at this neat but odd little park! There is also a collection of other critters that call it home. Really the only similarities to Yellowstone, you drive through and see animals. But the game farm you can FEED the animals! :) Avery strict diet of wheat bread only. Come to think of it another similarity to Yellowstone is how DUMB some of the visitors are, clearly posted in big letters are warnings, but they are ignored! Idiots!

Anyway, it is a somewhat close by adventure that the kids loved! Beware, your vehicle will come back snot and slopper covered from the animals! :)
Presley's eyes were huge every time a critter had it's head at the window!
Brian and the Kodiak
He is waving and smiling, then waits for his bread
I have seen elk before but this reminds you how BIG they are
His head is HUGE! Funny thing is, I am pretty sure Utah elk are even bigger! WOW!

Look who's ONE!

One year ago on a HOT July 4th little Miss Presley Ann joined our family! She is one now and I am not sure where the last year has gone. We were joined by friends and family to celebrate her birthday and what a great day we had! Thank you to everyone who joined us and to those of you who could not join us, you missed some seriously good smoked grub! :)

Gymnastics

Gracie decided on her latest activity to be gymnastics! We had to choose something other than swimming because all the classes filled up too fast. She had lots of other choices but not knowing what half of them truly were, we resorted to YouTube for a good example, and well all the jumping, flipping and hanging from bars is right up her alley! So she is now part of the Blue Angels and LOVING it!

Weekend out and about

Between the variation of weather days (changes so frequently it actually reminds me of UT weather!) we have been trying to do a family outing at least once a week! We have gone many places and lots of adventures and sometimes the simplest ones are the best! The Imagine Children's Museum is up there pretty high on Gracie's list, its a great indoor/outdoor place just for kids and is a mixture of science and just plain fun!

But our latest trip to the local antique museum I think might just be topping her list! It's FULL of old farming, logging, train and mining stuff from around our area. When I say FULL I mean it too, oh and did I mention there are LOTS of working displays! It's ran by volunteers, one of which gave us a most excellent tour and showed Gracie how everything worked! We were there for hours, even Presley enjoyed watching everything! The highlight of the tour was when our tour guide fired up the old steamer and Gracie got to pull the horn!

She was not too impressed when she learned how laundry used to be done!
